This website provides information for employers, employees, first-aiders and training organisations on first aid at work. As a minimum, a low-risk workplace such as a small office should have a first-aid box and a person appointed to take charge of first-aid arrangements, such as calling the emergency services if necessary. Employers must provide information about first-aid arrangements to their employees.
The UK's leading provider of services that enhance quality of life for serving and retired fire service personnel and their families. Our vision is to make a positive difference by supporting people in the fire and rescue community when they are in need.
The Resuscitation Council (UK) was formed in August 1981 by a group of medical practitioners from a variety of specialities who shared an interest in, and concern for, the subject of resuscitation.
At the heart of our Charity is a passion for saving lives and a dedication to keeping families together. We want to make sure that where possible, we're there when your friends, relatives and loved ones need us.
There is free access to the directory for anyone looking for any type of first aid training all of which comes with the assurance that the provider you choose will meet your requirements under the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981.
As an employer you must provide adequate and appropriate first aid equipment, facilities and personnel to ensure your employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. The directory will help you select a competent training provider to deliver any first aid training indicated by your first aid needs assessment (under Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981). The provider will also assist you in your needs assessment and all other aspects of providing first aid at work as laid down in the HSE's guide to the Regulations First-Aid at Work.
